Check In/out: Arrival time is 1:00 PM. You must check in or make arrangements ahead of time before going to your site. We will have your permit ready for your arrival.  If you will arrive after the office is closed, you must call ahead and make arrangements.  By law you must have a permit to have a campfire.  We accept Visa, Master Card, or Discover. Departure time is 11:00 AM.

Fireplaces: DO NOT MOVE THE FIREPLACES.  The Forest Service determines where they are built.  Moving them can result in State fines and the termination of the permit.  Never leave a fire unattended even for a few minutes.  Also, it has been our experience that glass and metal do not burn, so please do not put them in the fireplaces.

Firewood: Firewood can be purchased at the office.   We ask that you use local firewood only! Within 50 miles of the campground.  Chainsaws are not permitted. Please do not peel the bark from Birch trees.  It will kill them.

Picnic Tables: If you move a picnic table, please put it back in the original position before you leave.  It is difficult for one person to move alone.

Trash: This Preserve is a Carry In – Carry Out facility.  There is located in the office area between the two sheds.  All recyclables (aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass, tin cans must be put in our recycle bins.  Be sure all trash is bagged and tied securely.  Please help keep our sites clean and do your part by recycling. Please do not put garbage down the outhouse hole; use the bag provided.

Pets: Pets are welcome.  However, they must be kept on a leash at all times to ensure they do not disturb others.  You are responsible for cleaning up after your pets.  There is a minimal fee, per dog, per night.  In respect of your fellow campers, please keep dog(s) from barking excessively.  We will need a copy of your dog’s license and rabies information.  Please bring it with you or email us a copy ahead of time.

Canoe Rentals: Canoe rentals are available at the office.  Paddles and life preservers are provided.  If you have small children you must bring a preserver that fits them.  Canoes are limited so let us know ahead of time so we can hold one for you.

Quiet Time: Please respect other nearby campers by reducing noise at 10 p.m. Sound carries across the lake and can be disturbing to some.

Enjoy our sites but please leave your site clean and ready for the next campers!
